WELCOME TO GOLDEN BAY
Located at
the top of the South Island, Golden Bay is a haven at the end
of a road that leads you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday
life. The main shopping centre is the township of Takaka - a charming
place, where local colour abounds and the people smile at you
in the street.
You can find
the Sandcastle by heading towards the Abel Tasman National Park
(as shown in the map below).
Drive until
you get to the beach, then take the first road on the right (Pohara
Valley Road - you'll see the Sandcastle sign) and then right again
into Haile Lane. We're at the end - you can't miss us...

the local store (where they make the best ice creams in The Bay!).
